TRANSLINK HAS LAUNCHED A NEW EXPRESS BUS BETWEEN SURREY AND UBC

TransLink’s Board of Directors approved a new bus service between Surrey and UBC last week.
Dubbed the Surrey B-Shuttle, this new bus route will be operated by Beyond Travels Inc., the very first private ride sharing shuttle service in the Lower Mainland.
The new route is now in service and runs from 152nd Street and Highway 10 in Surrey, and Walter Gage Road at Westbrook Mall at UBC’s Point Grey campus.
TransLink approved the use of the private ride sharing company at a meeting last week who is allowed to operate until December 31st, 2019.
The Surrey B-Shuttle will be making 12 round trips each weekday. The first bus leaves Surrey at 5:45 a.m. and the last trip leaves UBC at 6:10 p.m. Furthermore, the bus will make five stops in Surrey at the following locations:
- 152 Street & 72 Avenue
- 144 Street & 72 Avenue
- 138 Street & 72 Avenue
- 128 Street & 72 Avenue
- 122 Street & 72 Avenue
The buses will run Monday – Friday and will feature reclining seats, free Wi-Fi, reading lights and TVs.
Riders can expect travel times between this route to be between 60 to 90 minutes.
All one way trips are $10 and are booked using an online booking system. Walk-on passengers will be allowed if there are any seats available.
