SOS Children’s Village BC, a Surrey nonprofit, has hired a specialist who will use neurofeedback working with foster children.
Neurofeedback is said to re-train the brain to stay calm so that it is open to learning and recovery.
Urs Ribary, a UBC psychology professor, says neurofeedback can be effective, and advances in brain imaging will make it even more effective in the future.
