Raspberry Pi home automation project with OpenHAB

Akshit Agrawal has published a new Raspberry Pi project to the Hackster.io website in the last couple of weeks explaining more about how to set up home automation using a Raspberry Pi 3B mini PC and OpenHAB. As well as using Google Home (or Google Assistant) to control the relays.

Agrawal explains a little more about the Raspberry Pi project which is now available to view via the official Hackster.io website via the link below. “I wanted to completely automate my room. I had an old RPi-3 lying around. So I made it to my use and created this awesome home automation project with OpenHAB and IFTTT. To get started with the project, you have to know how many switches you want to automate. I wanted to automate 4 switches, so I used a 4-channel relay. But the choice is upto you.”

For full instructions on how to set up OpenHAB on your Raspberry Pi mini PC and enjoy a little more home automation as well as learn a little more about the capabilities of the Raspberry Pi jump over to the Hackster.io project page where all code is available to download. As well as full instructions on installing the software and connecting your required electrical devices such as lighting, fans and more to your Raspberry Pi.
